We will be releasing a new ironclad very soon. It is big, expensive, and nasty looking. It will be the first kit we have produced that features a complete custom photo-etched detail fret for all you guys that like lots of small intricate details. It will also feature a line of white metal parts that includes accurate custom cast guns made especially for this model, NOT just some generic parts stuck in the box to trick you into being impressed, or a hull that looks like it must have a 40' draft!!!!
The pattern work is finished and the photo etch artwork has been sent to the printers. The molds are being made right now and should be done in the next week. I hope to have the model ready for market about the end of July or early August. I should be able to publicly announce the name of the project in about a week or two, so check in often for updates!!

New Info about these kits!! In the last couple of years we have worked to learn new and better ways to produce these kits as true multi-media items. We have begun to learn how to produce many of the kit parts in white metal within our own shop, made agreements with other engineers, modelers, and artists to revamp our kit instructions, box art, and illustrations, and applied these techniques to all our kits, both new and old. The work continues and will continue for some time yet, but when complete every kit we produce will incorporate the newest, latest technology and experience available in the world of model kit production.
We will continue to offer the best, most accurate models available of this subject matter in the years to come, and now we will be doing it even better than before. If you have ever built one of our older kits then you are familiar with the job of “sanding”. Those days are over. You will still find some sanding and other work to do, but not to the previous degree. (Hey, I can’t do all the work for you!!) You will also notice crisper parts and fewer voids.
